CBH Schedules Free Mental Health First Aid Trainings in August and September
Colonial Behavioral Health will offer free Youth Mental Health First Aid trainings on Aug. 17 and 20 and Adult Mental Health First Aid trainings on Sept. 11 and 18.
Youth Mental Health First Aid is designed for adults who work with young people ages 12 to 18. Teachers, coaches, faith community leaders and other caring citizens would benefit from this course. Click here for additional information about the upcoming Youth trainings.

Mental Health First Aid teaches individuals how to offer initial help to a person developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis.
Course participants learn common risk factors and warning signs of specific types of illnesses. They also learn a 5-step action plan to support someone developing signs and symptoms of a mental illness or in an emotional crisis.
